Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:00-1:00 PM (eastern) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to tell your green story without greenwashing
Most businesses are trying to get on the bandwagon of becoming “green” and sustainable whether through small or large initiatives. The sustainability trend is here, and it is important to communicate your company’s actions effectively -– and transparently -- to all of its stakeholders. One way to grab your audience’s attention and ultimately create a more compelling communication is to tell a genuine story that resonates with people and shows real commitment by all levels of the organization. In this presentation, a panel of environmental communications experts will share their tips, favorite case studies and the pitfalls of greenwashing corporate communications. Panelists:
K.J. McCorry is the CEO of Officiency Enterprises. She has been avid environmentalist for over 25 years cultivating sustainability within her own personal life as well as professional. She has for the past 12 years served as one of the leading efficiency and productivity consultants for companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Her work has been committed to streamlining processes to not only create efficiency but also sustainability. She is based out of Boulder, CO and currently serves as co-President of CORE (Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy) (www.corecolorado.org).
